Made from our stone-washed canvas for that safari feeling, the Mick boasts adjustable grab handles and detailing in our beautiful vegetable-tanned leather, and a smart striped detachable shoulder strap which can be adjusted for comfort. Two Inner canvas pockets included.
The Mick Duffle is hand-made by artisans in a Spanish village called Ubrique - a hub of craftsmanship renowned for quality since the 19th century - Ubrique is where many of the world’s most discerning luxury brands have their leather produced.
Made using only the finest full-grain Spanish leather, the Mick Duffle owes its smooth and supple character to the wide open fields of Spain which produce hides in full bloom without marks from barbed wire or insect bites.
Instead of employing the cheap and damaging chrome tanning process, La Portegna’s leather is vegetable tanned with a unique blend of natural tannins and colour compounds from Spanish flowers and tree bark. The leather is then treated with Spanish olive oil to nourish it, soften it and make it more robust.
This all-natural process has two benefits versus chrome tanning - it results in beautiful looking leather that develops a unique ‘patina’ over time - literally getting better with age, and it’s infinitely kinder to the environment.
Because of this unique tanning process, your option to personalise most of products with a monogram, and our policy not to make leather for anyone else, your La Portegna product is as near to unique as you can possibly get.
*In case of accidental soiling of this product, dry cleaning is recommended. It is important not to rub with soap and water as this material has been dyed naturally.
